That (above) is a younger slimmer me. I put it there for inspiration. I'm Julie. I've gained weight with the stress of grad school and kids. I want to find diet and exercise habits I can live with forever. I'll mostly post things related to this effort, but will probably also post random stuff I like.
So far the diet aspect hasn’t been too hard. I’m honestly not being all that rigid. I’m tracking all of my food with this nifty app on my phone. I am counting calories, which I wasn’t before, but it’s pretty easy to do since my phone is always with me. I’m not really counting anything else, but I’m staying away from “bad carbs” So far I’m happy with it. It feels very sustainable.
Exercise, on the other hand … I’m 0 for 4.
So that’s something to work on.
Sadly, I am not spurred back into action by my long term goals of a healthier happier me. My birthday is in a couple of weeks and ugh, my mother is a camera fanatic. I’m afraid photos will be unavoidable. I hope I can at least lose a few pounds before then.
